Conference Description:

Join Maronite young adults from across the nation for the 13th Annual MYA Conference hosted at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake (USML) in Illinois, from September 3rd through the 6th. The theme this year is Maronite Leadership and forming effective leaders and disciples! We welcome Bishop Elias Zaidan and Bishop Gregory Mansour, along with our keynote speaker for the weekend, Chris Padgett! 

   Chris Padgett, a convert to the Roman Catholic faith has been doing ministry around the country for over a decade. Using the engaging medium of music and message and his own personal witness he has effectively shared the truth of Christ’s love and forgiveness. 

   Chris is married to the love of his life Linda and has been blessed with nine children. He has a M.A in Theology from Franciscan University and is currently completing his doctorate In Sacred Theology. To learn more about Chris click on the link to view his complete bio:

Mundelein Campus Regulations: as provided by the campus

USML/Mundelein Seminary is an active seminary and university for those seeking higher degrees in ministry.

This is a place of serenity, prayer and reflection. Reverence must be maintained at all times.

As a private campus and for the safety of our students, faculty and guests, we do not allow weapons, alcohol, pets, use of the lake (including all water activities) or exploring the forest, unpaved, or other areas marked private or resident.

We also prohibit the use of bicycles, motorcycles and roadside parking due to our narrow campus roadways.

As a sacred space and as a home to theological students and faculty, we also do not allow picnics, sunbathing, fireworks, loud music, the use of drones, or use of the athletic field.

Mundelein Dress code: as provided by the campus

While on campus, please adhere to the campus dress code:

Cut off t-shirts and tank tops should have a shoulder width of at least 2 inches. Chest, back, and sides should not be exposed. Shorts should be past mid-thigh.

Undergarments and sports bras must be covered by other attire. Tank tops should have a shoulder width of at least 2 inches and cover back and sides. Shorts should extend to mid-thigh (for example, loose soccer or basketball shorts). Dresses and skirts should be a respectful length. Shorts or skorts should be worn over yoga pants/tights.  Low cut tops and short or tight skirts are not allowed.

Covid Mandate:
The Governor of Illinois has issued a mask mandate that goes into effect on Monday, August 30th. This requires all individuals ages 2 and older to wear a face mask while indoors regardless of vaccination status.
